Recently, there was a news about Bangkok Art and
Culture Center or BACC which got a lot attention from Thai people and it was
mentioned widely in social media.
BACC
has been founded for about 10 years and since the day it has been open, this
place was one of that famous place in Bangkok, our capital city, which not only
Thais but also foreign tourists always visit here and the number of visitors
has been increasing every year. But now, BACC is facing with budget problem.
Normally, ฺBangkok Metropolitan council will allocate the
budget to BACC every year, but now BACC have not been received the budget for
many months, no matter what the reason is. What ฺBangkok
Metropolitan council do cause many problems like lacking money to pay for
utilities or maintainance of the place and art works in this place. If the
problems don’t be solved, it might effect to the organisation in the future.
After
I read this news, it remind me to one poem of Thai. It talked about the art. It
said the country which has no art, it can be compared with a women who has no
beauty.
Many countries around
the world value an art and person who has ability to create priceless art work.
It was considered that the country that value the art is the developed country
while the country which ignore the art is like wild man.
In
BACC, many valuable art pieces of many famous artists were collected here. If
you have some free time, I would like to recommend you to visit there. After
going there, you will not only get inspirer, you will get to learn something
new and get new experiences. In each art work has its own meaning. If we look
at it with consideration, you will see the meaning that the artist want to
express. It might be the experiences that he or she had experienced. And you
will recognize the value of each work. Each work give you a different feeling.
It’s depend on thinking of each person. Because the thought of each people was
made up from their different environment.
BACC is not just the
place for showing art works. BACC is also the place for opportunities for
people to show their opinion in social and political side such as the news
about Panther. Many artists express their idea through the art by creating an
art piece for satirizing or campaign.
The
main purpose that I decide to choose this topic to talk about today is I want
everyone to support art works and I want everyone to appreciate in art more.
Did you know that art is not only beauty, art is not only a picture, and art is
not made for seeing only. Actually, the art is more than you think. The art
plays important role and involves in our daily lives. The art is everywhere and
we are always surrounded by art. Have you ever notice when you walked in public
place and there are colorful wall with pictures or any graphic or even in
restaurant / department stores. They are all relate with art.
When we talk about
‘art’, most people always think that the art is drawing, painting and it’s
what people do in free time. But actually, art provides many benefits to human
in various ways. Doctors or psychologists use art for mental therapy and
healing for depression and many other diseases. Also, art is one way of
meditation that help people who are attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
return to be normal. Moreover, patients with mental illness who think they are
ignored by other people, they will use art to express their thought and
feeling. And that make them feel like there is someone listening to what they
would like to speak.
It’s been a long time
that art live with human and I would say that it was with us since we were
born. Many people neglect and don’t value it because they think it’s not that
important. It can be compared to a case of movie theater, video stores, or book
stores that have been opened for several years but finally they have to close
down because in this age, people are more interested in something modern.
Although we are rarely to go these places, but we are sorry when we know it has
to close down. Or maybe we think it should not close down. Moreover, art gives
us an occupation. Many people earn money from art. Did you see how art
important to human lives. Art is the thing that express our culture and
lifestyle to known all over the world . So,we should develop this in our
country as well and make everyone know how much beautiful art do we have.
